How to block damage? | World Of Tanks Blitz
How to block damage? How to damage without being damaged?
There are some ways to block damage :
1. Hiding behind a noob.
You can use a noob as a shield from damage or as a destruction shield. Using the noob as a shield is a good way because even if the noob player gets destroyed it doesn't matter because he wasn't a good enough player and you can destroy the enemy when he is distracted by your shield. Try to help make an average player or a noob to get better at the game! Add him to your friends list and encourage him to try hard. Teach him in a platoon and play 1 VS 1 with him to test him. Who knows one day he might be a great player and may help you get more better while becoming better himself too. Don't be selfish! Or you'll be a shell-fish soon!
[Tip from Mjr_Eazy, a cool dude]
2. Staying behind a heavy tank
You can stay behind a heavy tank for damage blocking. You can help the heavy when behind him as a second line supporter. When the heavy soaks up damage you hide and attack the enemy and destroy him and your team gets one step closer to victory. Keep a 5 meters' distance (at least) between you and the heavy If the heavy has almost 30% been destroyed then help him as much as you could and call others for help. (Don't crowd the heavy oftenly if you want a victory)
NOTE: Leave a space for the heavy to escape in case
3. Side scraping
There are some tanks in the game which can block damage by side scrapping ; Angling the tank in such a way that the shell does not hit the tank at 90° and bounces off. But don't think that if the enemies hits you at 80° you won't be penetrated ... If the enemy is on right you have to angle the tank in such a way that the shell hits at lesser than 60° but greater than 30° and if the enemy is on the left the shell hits the tank at angle greater than 120° but lesser than 150°.
4. Use the terrain to your advantage
a) "Fire from Cover" or "Fire and Cover" (a.k.a. "Peek-a-boo"). Find solid cover, such as a building, rock, hill or tank corpse. Duck out to fire, then pull back behind cover while reloading. This way you can deal damage and be protected while you reload.
b)You can protect yourself while still returning fire from a "hull down" position using a hill or ridge. This means the hull of your tank is below the ridge line and only your turret is exposed. Duck out to fire, then pull back behind cover while reloading. Note that this is the preferred strategy for American tanks which are designed with better-than-average turret armor and gun depression for the price of less-than-average hull armor. You can try attacking from below if the enemy is on a hill like below:
In this diagram the enemy is on a hill and can't attack you because of the depression angle (red line) and you can easily attack the enemy
5. Hide and attack
You can hide behind a cover like a bush ... if there is no bush then ram a tree and hide behind its foliage.
Let the scouts and front liners find you your targets and attack them without being spotted and let them be distracted by the front liners. I often do this and its great!
6. Move your tank and trick the enemy
Act as if you are going to come out of a cover and get back again quickly. The enemy will shoot and miss the shot and you can attack when he is reloading. Let the enemy take the false bait shot and be puzzled and waste his ammunition! Wiggle your tank when brawling or when you notice that someone is trying to damage your modules or penetrate your weak spots.
7. Circle the enemy
Most commonly known as Circle of Death (CoD). The plan is to know your enemy's weakness. A slow tank has slow turret traverse speed (For example Matilda). Circle around the enemy if you have a light tank or a fast medium tank. Works better if the enemy tank's turret traverse speed is slower and your speed is good enough to outrun the gun. Try to be as near as possible to the enemy but not so near just in case. If the enemy is a tank destroyer; This way works even better!
8. Retreat if spotted
This strategy is best for Turret-less TDs and Paper-armor TDs or KV-2. Stay back in a sniping spot. As soon as you see the light-bulb or hear its voice retreat to cover or to your allies. Staying back for a few time also helps but only if enemies are far away and you are sure that no enemy is near. The camo-net equipment is helpful for this task. You better not be separated from team because you won't be saved when left alone.
